Words from President
It has been 16 years since China Enterprises Association in Malaysia (CENAM) was founded in 2002. In the past few years, CENAM has grown rapidly under the great leadership of the Chinese Embassy, and with the collaboration from the previous presidents and our Council members. During the rapid development of Chinese-Malaysian economic cooperation, CENAM has put in its full efforts to protect its members’ lawful rights and interests, and to enhance the mutual understanding between the enterprises from China with all walks of Malaysian society, and as such, CENAM has become an important platform for bilateral economic and trade exchanges between China and Malaysia.
In my following years term of being president, I sincerely expect to work with everyone’s cooperation and coordination, with which can we build a well- organized association to provide better service. CENAM would assist Chinese Embassy, and Economic and Commerce Counselor’s Office in our best effort, devoting ourselves in fulfilling social responsibilities, to improve our own soft power.
To make a better impression of CENAM, that represents collective opinions of China enterprises in response to severe issues, we have to build-up a steady team through constant learning and intercommunicating, such as lectures or many other forms of activities. We would also establish communication channels with Malaysian government, chambers of commerce, local associations, in order to keep close touches. I believe that, for those members who intend to hew out a career here, precise and timely information for investment will be offered from the Association, which would lead to a great opportunity to set up business in Malaysia.
CENAM has always been in good relationship with local chambers of commerce, including ACCCIM, HUAZONG, MCCC, PPMC and etc, I expect that further exchanges with them are coming along through efficient cooperation system. With the aid of their integrated organization, we can periodically promote all sorts of activities, to enhance the interactives between Chinese and Malaysian enterprises to gain business opportunities. I also hope that CENAM could cast away the character of staying in Chinese society, and start communications with local Malay and Indian chambers of commerce, to fit in local mainstream society.
This year, we would continuously work under Chinese Embassy’s requirement, take an active part in great variety of important events. We would like to organize various lectures, sports activities, and field trips.
Bank of China is taking responsibility of being the President of CENAM, I will work at my full strength with all and every of you hand-in-glove. I have no doubt that, under Chinese Embassy’s leadership, with all member’s support, CENAM will grow gradually and grandly, wishing all members of CENAM are prospering every passing day!
Thank you all.
Wang Hongwei, President of CENAM
